We have been family gardeners since the 1950s looking to share our gardens with the people of Youngstown. Natural gardening has been our way since the beginning, but that has evolved into a passion for sustainable farming because we believe it a healthier way to grow and live. Using a heated and non heated greenhouse we start ALL our plants from seed mostly from last year’s harvest. After years of sharing our over abundance with friends and family and the occasional sale, this will be our first year expanding and doing a CSA.
Early Road Gardens hopes to be your personalized CSA. We will let you know each week what will be available next week, so if there is something you do not like we can give you more of something else. Also if you are going on vacation and do not want to give your share to some lucky friend we can add on a week at another time or do a double share another week. We will be really flexible so if you want to skip a week or do a ½ share we will give you more later in the season.
Our specialty is greens and root crops which makes for a long season. Each week a few great recipe ideas will accompany your share to give you new ideas cooking with the bounty of the earth.
